More About This Form

When offering rental property for residential leases, tenants and landlords can get into disagreements about the condition of the property and the security deposit. The tenant may claim that the problem existed before them moved in and the landlord failed to perform the necessary repairs. The landlord may claim the property was in pristine condition, or repairs have been made, as they want the tenant to pay for damages.

A rental walk through form eliminates disagreements between tenants, landlords and property managers. The form provides a checklist that can be used to assess the condition of the property before the tenant moved in and after they moved out.

Form Details

A rental walk through form assists tenants and landlords so they can come to an agreement about the condition of the rental property. You can walk through the rental apartment, condo, single-family home, duplex or townhouse with the tenant to inspect for potential problems that are present while the rental unit is vacant. Both parties can provide their signatures in agreement on the condition of the property. Then you can reuse the same form template to provide the pre-move out inspection to recheck the property's condition to make notes about new damage caused by the tenant that needs to be addressed.

This free mobile form template can be immediately used, or customized, as it is pre-created with the following categories:
