How can the IoT improve my operations?

Internet of Things sensors and devices automate how you monitor location conditions such as temperature, sound and humidity. With real-time alerts and easy-to-read reports, you can quickly take action on your location data to drive efficiencies and cost savings.

Manage your operations more efficiently and fix issues before they escalate

Ensure food safety compliance

Ensure everything from your refrigerators to your fryers are set at the right temperature so food is stored and cooked safely.

Cut down on costs and energy consumption

Get notified when the temperature on beer taps, refrigerators, thermostats or other devices are out of range. This will help you quickly take action to prevent unnecessary costs spent on beer foam loss, food spoilage, or over heating/cooling the building.

Improve location cleanliness

Use traffic pattern sensors to alert your teams when they need to clean restrooms, hotel rooms, or other areas of your location. For example: X amount of customers have visited the restroom, so it needs to be cleaned.

How can the IoT improve customer experience?

The physical store environment plays a big role in customer experience (CX). Leverage IoT sensors and devices to collect contextual data such as sound, temperature, and traffic patterns. Combine these location level insights with CX and POS data within the Intouch platform and key driver analysis will uncover how physical elements of a location correlate to business outcomes like customer satisfaction, sales transactions and revenue.

Drive customer satisfaction and revenue by identifying optimal location conditions

Traffic pattern sensors

Monitor how traffic patterns impact conversion rates, cleanliness, product availability and more. Automatically alert teams of actions they must take when a specific number of people visit the store or interact with a certain touchpoint.

Temperature and sound sensors

Are noise and temperature negatively impacting CX touchpoints? Identify the noise level or temperature during your highest and lowest sales periods to understand how you can improve CX and drive more revenue.

Internet Of Things Customer Experience Key Drivers Dashboard

Optimize the physical environment to deliver better customer experiences

Use Intouch's patent-pending Action Campaign™ technology to easily drive and monitor improvements.

Set a goal

Define the business metric you want to improve (customer satisfaction, upsell rate, revenue, etc.) and set a target you want to achieve.

Define and assign actions

Define and assign the actions your teams must take to achieve the optimal location conditions for your customers.

Monitor impact in real-time

Verify that actions are being completed and easily monitor how those actions are impacting your desired business outcomes in real-time.

What are Internet of Things devices?

We have hundreds of sensors and other Internet of Things devices that allow you to remotely monitor the physical environment of your locations. Devices can collect data on anything from sound, temperature and humidity, to carbon monoxide, traffic patterns, and everything in between. See page 4 for a list of our most commonly used devices.

Where does IoT data go?

You define how frequently you want IoT devices to collect data (hourly, 24/7, etc.). All data is rapidly integrated into the Intouch reporting platform, displayed on powerful dashboards, and transformed into actionable reports. Unlimited role and location based dashboards ensure teams only see the data they’re allowed to see. IoT data is combined with data from other Intouch programs or any third-party data that is integrated into the Intouch platform.

Will I be alerted of important environmental changes?

Automated real-time alerts ensure the right people are notified when there are any changes to the environmental location data you’re monitoring with IoT devices. With case management tools, you can assign issues to teams, set due dates, and mark as resolved when fixed.
